OVERVIEW
The Goodyear Marathon RSA is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle’s all axle positions.
The tire offers a lengthened usability. It combined with the tread design and the durable compound to elongate the model’s service life. The multi-layered compound and the tread’s TredLock Technology work together to ensure a slower and even wear. The compound’s wear-resistant rubber materials decrease the wear rate. The TredLock technology stabilizes the tread elements with the interlocking microgrooves that actively prevent irregular wear formations across the tread area. In this manner, the tire increases the usability and tread life significantly.
The model offers a damage free performance. The durable compound avoids the tread’s chipping, cracking and scrubbing which prevents premature wear. The stronger steel belt construction and sidewall upgrade the durability. They prevent punctures, cuts and tearing while the tires are in motion by increasing the carcass toughness. The full steel belt structure also manages to boost the load durability as it prevents the tire’s deformation under the load and driving pressure across the tread area, boosting the load capacity in the process.
The Marathon RSA offers a fuel efficient drive. The multi-compound layered tread construction enhances the tire’s traction and, with it, eases the driving pressure off the tire. This allows the tire to lower the rolling resistance, which is the driving pressure which determines the vehicle’s needed fuel intake to keep the tires in motion. As a result, the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels are significantly decreased which offers a fuel conscious performance.
